Upon arrival, your garage door technician will examine your door. Wood doors will need to be checked for signs of warping or any other kind of damage (wood doors dent easily), as well as chipped or peeling paint. Steel doors may rust so we’ll check for that as well. Next, your garage door tech will check your tracks and clear any debris preventing unrestricted movement or make any adjustments if needed.
Our D&L Garage Doors maintenance technician will preform a full 25 safety point inspection including testing your opener’s reverse function, garage door springs, overhaul door condition, etc. If your garage door opener is older than 20 years, it may lack basic safety features like auto reverse or safety sensors which your technician would be happy to assist you in installing. If your opener is older than 20 years it may be just a good idea to upgrade to a newer one. They come with updated features already.
If your door already has safety sensors your technician will test those as well to make sure they are properly aligned and clean. The technician will check your cables for signs of damage. Because these cables are under extreme tension we never recommend that you check them yourself. Your expert will grease your opener’s chain or screw as well as your springs. Keeping your garage door parts properly lubricated up will add years of dependability to your system, adding thousands of dollars to your wallet.
Additionally, your tech can replace your weather stripping. Weather stripping should be replaced on an as-needed basis. Your rollers, however should be replaced every 5-6 years. If you use your garage door more than twice a day you should consider replacing them sooner. D&L responded to our service call the same afternoon we placed the call to their service desk. When it was determined we needed a new spring and door, they coordinated the install for us and arrived when they said they would. They didn’t try and up sell us a new opener because we didn’t need it.

I had to call D&L on a Friday afternoon when a garage door would not cooperate. The technician (Riley) arrived earlier than expected and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently.
Very helpful and fast service! Our garage door spring broke and we called D&L to have someone come take a look. The next day a technician named Cameron came out to our house. Cameron was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different parts of the door and tracks and how those parts affected the operation of the door overall. He inspected the door, tracks, and hardware and noted that everything (except for the springs) looked great and wouldn’t need to be replaced. He replaced the broken springs and had the door working in less than 20 minutes. Our garage door is more than 30 years old so when the time inevitably comes to buy a new one, we will absolutely be calling D&L.
Great communication from the admin team. Efficient and professional technicians that got the work done on time and with minimal disruption to our day. Pricing was fair and well communicated with no surprises.
I had two 8′ wide by 7′ tall doors that I took out and raised the header so my new door would be 17′ wide by 7′ 6″ tall which is a special size and I ended up with only 11 1/2″ above the door opening.
They went with a 5 panel door because of the low clearance and got a regular door opener above it. They brought the door panels to my house so I could paint them and then came up and installed them. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. The installation went great. I would recommend D&L to everyone.
Cam took great care of me and fixed our door. We had a small dent in the bottom and the door was not tracking correctly. He had a solution installed it all in under an hour or so and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend the company they’re great to work with very good at communication and the price was truly fair.!
